NEW BIA-HAWAII 2011 BOARD PRESIDENT AND OFFICERS

HONOLULU- The Building Industry Association of Hawaii (BIA-Hawaii) has installed a new slate of officers for 2011. Jim Byxbee  is the new President and guides the leadership team of President-Elect Dean I. Asahina/ Universal Construction, Inc.; Vice-President Greg Thielen/ Complete Construction Services Corp.; Secretary Craig Washofsky/ Servco Home & Appliance Distribution; Treasurer Timothy J. Waite/ Simpson Strong Tie Co, Inc.; Special Appointee-Builder Paul D. Silen/ Hawaiian Dredging Construction Co, Inc.; Special Appointee-Associate Aldrin Villahermosa/ AMV/ Air Conditioning, Inc.; Immediate Past President Douglas E. Pearson/ Castle & Cooke Homes Hawaii, Inc. and Executive Vice President/ Chief Executive Officer BIA-Hawaii/ Karen T. Nakamura.

President Jim Byxbee is the Chief Executive Officer of Homeworks Construction, Inc. He will lead the incoming 2011 Board that also includes Akira Usami/ Dietrich Industries, Inc.; Brian Adachi/ BKA Builders, Inc.; Clifton Crawford/ C & J Contracting, Inc.; Dean Uchida/ SSFM International, Inc.; James Dixon/ Island Insurance Company, Inc.; Jay Kadowaki/ J. Kadowaki, Inc.; Karin L. Holma/ Bays Deaver Lung Rose & Holma; Lee Cranmer/ Actus Lend Lease, LLC; Mark Hertel/ Inter-Island Solar Supply; Mark Kennedy/ HASEKO Construction, Inc.; Scotty Anderson/ Pacific Rim Partners and Seth Sutherland/ S.S. Builders, Inc.

Chartered in 1955, the Building Industry Association of Hawaii is a professional trade organization affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders, representing the building industry and its' associates. The 500 members of BIA-Hawaii are developers, contractors, suppliers, Realtors, architects, financial institutions and a host of other professionals who serve the building industry. BIA-Hawaii takes a leadership role in unifying and promoting the interests of the industry to enhance the quality of life for the people of Hawaii.
